Pensacola, Florida – Grover and Sara McKenzie Family Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the expansion of our outreach efforts for educational support and assistance in the form of four $500 scholarships awards for a total of $2,000. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, SC and Chester High School in Chester, PA.
“The great potential of our youth must be nurtured and supported,” said Grover McKenzie III, board chair of the Foundation. “We, along with our foundation partners, are excited about this expansion of our educational outreach.”
The scholarships honor the legacies of Grover McKenzie, Jr. and Sara Elizabeth (Gibbs) McKenzie. In 1945 Grover graduated from John Ford High School, St. Matthews, SC. “This scholarship was created to aid, support and give hope to deserving young people in overcoming barriers. There is so much more that needs to be done. This is a worthy step towards helping them reach their goals.”
